About Us

Established in 1937, Hawaii Credit Union League is the nonprofit trade association representing affiliated credit unions in Hawaii and Guam.

League affiliation makes a credit union part of a cooperative effort. Many credit unions united form a powerful force in government, business, and the community. Affiliation also provides educational and networking opportunities crucial to a credit union’s success.

Through specialized divisions, the League and its wholly owned subsidiary, HCU Services Corporation, assist credit unions in many ways.

Member Relations Division

Delivers dues-supported and fee-supported services as the primary link to credit unions.
Provides operational assistance and research to credit unions.
Responds to inquiries from the general public about credit unions.
Coordinates League-sponsored educational programs and the annual convention.

Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Division

Represents credit union interests in federal, state, and county government on proposed laws and regulations that may impact credit unions.
Provides regulatory compliance and research assistance to credit unions.
Coordinates activities to strengthen the credit union movement through grassroots activism.
Publishes weekly InfoSight eNewsletter.

Association Services Division

Publishes semi-weekly League eMails, monthly League News newsletter and HCUL annual report and business meeting supplement.
Coordinates credit union participation in community development activities.
Maintains HCUL Web site www.hcul.org, Facebook Fan Page, and Twitter site.
Administers the Hawaii Exchange Links Professionals (HELP) listserv.
Maintains a lending library of credit union related resources.
