Legislative and Political Affairs
Hawaii Credit Union League coordinates statewide efforts to maintain awareness of the good things credit unions do in the larger community and the importance of credit union issues in the minds of the general public, lawmakers and regulators; represents credit unions at the national, state, and county levels; advocates and maintains credit unions’ various tax exemptions; lobbies to protect the political interests of credit unions; and leverages input on proposed regulations.

Regulatory Affairs
Your League is able to work with you to access a vast network of experts working within the credit union system.  Please contact your League regarding regulatory or operational questions or concerns.

League InfoSight is a collaborative effort used by over 28 credit union leagues to better organize, expeditiously update, and effectively access regulatory compliance information needed by all credit unions. Your League has also partnered with Ashford & Wriston in a program called Ask-a-Lawyer, which allows member credit unions to get generic legal or regulatory compliance advice from the League’s retained legal counsel each Wednesday afternoon.

Communications
League member credit unions are offered a host of information from both the League and CUNA to keep credit unions up-to-date on issues that impact their ability to serve members.
