Achieving the Right Member Experience: Finding a Balance between Technology and People

Credit unions are facing big challenges as they work to remain relevant in the face of fierce competition while retaining the rich relationships they’ve built with members and the community. For these credit unions, adopting new technology might solve a short-term problem, but may not be a strategic long-term solution.

Before implementing new technology, your credit union needs a comprehensive branch and digital channel strategy to address these key questions:

  • What kind of experience do we want to provide our members for specific transactions, e.g., conducting a routine deposit?
  • Do we have the right people in the branch to deliver the desired experience?
  • What internal processes are obstacles to providing the desired experience?
  • What solutions will enable the desired experience and solve real problems for members?

Join us on Wednesday, December 6 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Hawaii Credit Union League Education Center for tips on achieving the right member experience. This exclusive event will give you key elements to consider, such as:

  1. First Strategize, Then Design – What’s the best way to engage your members in the branch and how can you direct them to the self-service device most appropriate for their needs
  2. Know your Branch, Know your Member – How do your members interact in the branch? Do they prefer interacting with tellers or self-service devices?
  3. Balance People with Technology – With technology migrating simple transactions away from the teller line, how can you refocus branch staff to better serve your members?

AGENDA

Registration                     10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Presentation                    11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.*

*Lunch will be provided during the presentation.

Although technology is attractive, rushing into the latest-and-greatest without a plan may overlook your members’ needs and deliver the wrong type of experience. At the end of the day, your technology decisions should put the member front and center. Join your forward-thinking peers at our December event!
