“If you think compliance is expensive, then don’t try non-compliance!”

Virtual Compliance Round Table

December 10, 2024

10:00 am to 11:00 a.m. via zoom

Topic: Emerging Risks- Fraud and Scams
Presented by: Holly Spiczenski, Risk Consultant for TruStage
Hosted by: Eugene Davis, Regulatory Officer for Hawaii Credit Union League
We cordially invite you to join our Compliance Round Table where valuable insights and imperative information will be discussed and shared. As regulations, guidelines, and laws continue to change, it is critical that we remain committed to the culture of compliance.
During this round table session, we will explore the latest risks involving fraud and scams. As you may know, fraudsters are constantly evolving their tactics and identifying new, sophisticated ways to steal money and data. Using common channels like emails, text, and phone calls, fraudsters typically disguise their identity while retrieving confidential member information. Their multi-channel approach looks for victims who find their stories convincing and will willingly click on links or share sensitive information, which enables unauthorized transactions across various platforms.
