​Credit unions, business partners, vendors, and supporters!  Mark your calendars and make plans to join us at the 2025 Hawaii Credit Union League Annual Convention. Next year’s convention travels back to Hawaii Island’s beautiful Kohala Coast as we gather at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. This oceanfront sanctuary is steeped in the spirit of Hawaii Island with indoor and outdoor venues, signature service, and untapped adventure perfect for hosting memorable gatherings.
From May 1 - May 3, participants will enjoy all the convention offers – from golf to educational sessions and exhibits plus many networking opportunities. 

Convention registration opens in early January 2025; vendor opportunities will be unveiled this fall. Watch this space for updates on what promises to be another fantastic annual convention.

Plans are coming together for the 2025 Hawaii Credit Union League Annual Convention. Set for May 1-3, 2025, at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, the convention is the premier credit union event in the state.

Our convention will feature Nathan Aweau as banquet entertainer. Known for his hauntingly beautiful voice Nathan Aweau is a multi-talented, multi–Na Hoku Hanohano award winner (Hawaii’s Grammy Award) in a variety of categories including Hawaiian, island, jazz, and contemporary albums of the year, song of the year, and male vocalist of the year.

Aweau was born into a musical family and his early years consisted of piano, guitar, and ukulele lessons followed by saxophone, percussion, and bass. He began his professional career in college accompanying such well-known performers as Gabe Baltazar, Henry Kapono, Loyal Garner and Nohelani Cypriano. He was also a member of the award-winning groups Ka’eo, the Ali’is, and HAPA and played with the legendary Don Ho for 16 years

In addition to being a stage musician Aweau, has played for a variety of commercials and provided background music for several shows on the Travel Channel. A seasoned music producer he has worked extensively in studio producing, arranging, and performing for various large projects, commercials, radio stations, and other artists. Beloved by fans Aweau is a natural storyteller with a somewhat self-deprecating sense of humor. His audiences loved his explanations of the inspiration behind his songs. He is also highly respected by fellow musicians. The late John Koko, a longtime member of the iconic, multi award-winning Hawaiian music group The Makaha Sons, once said “Nathan Aweau… incredible bass player… irresistible voice… incomparable entertainer! The CD Kane’ohe will take you on a musical journey that is haunting…refreshing… powerful and exciting.”

The New York Times opined, “Nathan has an in-depth understanding of orchestration, and his singing style is effortless. He has prodigious skills as an electric bassist— during an unaccompanied tear through Greensleeves he strongly evoked Stanley Clarke— and his 12-string rhythm guitar playing showed an advanced understanding of harmony.”
